Candice was bitten by the real estate bug as a radio air personality broadcasting live from a development in Palm Springs, CA, although it would be years before she would act on it.
After attending college, university and radio broadcasting school in Southern CA, Candice taught Communications and Personal Development classes and held on- site image development seminars for local businesses. Candice also spent decades as a top rated radio personality in California, Arizona and on internet radio.
Candice began her real estate career in 1992 at a large property management firm in Orange County, CA where she learned the fundamentals of leasing, fair housing and representation.
In the 1990s, as a freelance writer and editor, part of Candice's job was to transmit copy online. As the Internet began to change how business was done globally, Candice picked up skills by joining online communities on AOL, Prodigy and other BBS while working for large east and west coast publishing houses from her Southwest home.
When Candice obtained her Arizona real estate license in 2001, to differentiate from competitors with years of experience, Candice took her business online-a move that continues to pay dividends. Candice was the first local agent to earn ePRO Certification in 2002. She quickly became known in her Bullhead City, AZ market as 'the online REALTOR' designed a one-of-a-kind top local website and closed over 80% of her transactions online.
In 2004, Candice earned her broker's license, opening Next Wave Real Estate Investments in 2005. A boutique office, Next Wave thrives via referral business, drawn from countless agents and clients with whom she has developed relationships over the years. She survived and thrived while larger, more established companies closed their doors.
Candice was instrumental in forming the Bullhead City/Mohave Valley Association of REALTORS Technology Committee, chairing in 2006/07. She created the Association's first Orientation PowerPoint presentation, and taught MLS Basic, Advanced and CMA courses to new agents.
In 2006, Candice earned her Certification as an ePRO Trainer. Also in 2006, after earning Commercial Sales Specialist Certification at the Commercial Real Estate Institute in Phoenix, Candice was invited to join their faculty as a Client Communications/ Technology instructor.
Candice is an award-winning blogger, whose posts are read by over 200,000 real estate professionals and consumers daily. Her popular local blog, RealEstateBHC.com, gets 100 to 400 unique visitors daily.
Candice began her commercial real estate studies in 2003, and has taken CCIM financial, market and investment analysis, negotiation and ethics courses. She is a member in good standing of the CCIM Institute and CCIM's Central Arizona Chapter. She utilizes the CCIM tools to assist her investor and owner-user CRE clients in making wise real estate choices.
